Role of the Long-term Care Ombudsman

The Long-term Care Ombudsman Program is an Iowa state government program that protects and promotes the rights and quality of life for people who live in nursing homes. A Long-term Care Ombudsman works with the residents and staff of the facilities in their areas. They let nursing home residents and their families know about their rights.
